The OLD BEAR knife brand was created by the Antonini firm, a specialized Italian company that has been working for over three generations in the most widespread industrial sector in the Maniago area (Pordenone), which has been producing blades, knives and other cutting instruments since medieval times.

Our knives are assembled, finished and sharpened by hand.
Since 1925, we have stood behind our work and are proud to offer a lifetime warranty covering all the craftsmanship and materials we use in building our cutting tools.

Old Bear knives are serious competitors to Opinel knives, but their qualities are superior in several respects:
1/ the handle is not made of beech but of olive or walnut
2/ the closing ferrule is made of brass, it is easier to use
