Morakniv Kansbol Test

Morakniv Kansbol: the ultimate all-purpose knife for the outdoors

The Morakniv Kansbol is much more than just a hiking knife—it's a reliable companion, designed to handle any situation in the great outdoors. Made in Sweden by the renowned Morakniv brand, this knife combines robustness, lightness, and versatility —three essential qualities for adventurous hikers, hunters, bushcrafters, and survival enthusiasts.

A design conceived for versatility

The Kansbol stands out thanks to its Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade , renowned for its excellent balance between corrosion resistance and edge retention. Its Scandinavian shape with a scandi grind bevel offers a precise cut and easy maintenance.
The front part of the blade is thin for precision work (preparing a meal, cutting wood, sculpting), while the thicker back allows it to handle more demanding tasks such as light batoning.

Swedish comfort and ergonomics

The non-slip polyamide handle ensures a secure grip, even in the rain or when wearing gloves. Its texture and ergonomic shape guarantee comfortable, fatigue-free use over extended periods.
The knife comes with a rigid sheath compatible with the Multi-Mount system, ideal for attaching it to a backpack, belt or survival gear.

An all-terrain knife

Whether it's for preparing a fire, cooking while camping, or chopping wood , the Kansbol adapts to all situations. Its straight back is compatible with a firesteel , making it a complete tool for outdoor activities.

Why choose the Morakniv Kansbol?

Because it represents the perfect compromise between a bushcraft knife and a hiking knife. Lightweight, sharp, and easy to maintain, the Kansbol embodies the Scandinavian philosophy of “less is more” — a simple, reliable tool built to last.
